Courcy Post 178 and national anthem. \nChildren and families will head straight for the Children’s Expo. Our plaza party also includes a Community Stage\, showcasing local entertainers as well as Featured Entertainment\, and Hometown Hero Exhibit where you can find our police and fire departments. \nThe Taste of Frisco returns with Frisco restaurants serving some of their most popular menu items. The variety of fare is sure to please every palette. While you’re in the area\, visit all the great businesses taking part in our Patriotic Vendor Village. \nCheck out all the full schedule of activities as it gets closer to the event date.

Please join us for refreshments and a commemorative ceremony these veterans rightfully earned. \nThis ceremony will include a keynote address from Lieutenant General Richard E. Carey\, USMC (Ret). General Carey rose from an enlisted man to three star general. During the Korean War\, he participated in the Inchon Landing\, the drive to Seoul\, and the Chosin Reservoir Campaign. General Carey earned his fighter pilot wings in 1953. In Vietnam\, he flew 204 combat sorties between 1967 and 1968. The General led the evacuation of Saigon bringing 100\,000 refugees to the United States in 1975.
